Spiritual Awakening
Being Born Again

By
The Man Who Saw God Face To Face
Raphael Okechukwu Nweze

Introduction
I was seating at a restaurant. People were having good time. I sat there quiet, relaxed and undisturbed.
A man passed by, and looked at me.
Again, he passed by and looked at me. He was struck with the extraordinary brightness and serenity around me.
Later, he came near and sat down.
         “Hello,” he said.
         “Fine,” I answered.
“Are you a ….?” He asked. I did not reply.
“Are you a ….?” He asked again. I did not reply.
“You look like a reverend. The light around you shows that you are a man of God.”
“Yes,” I responded. “I am the man who saw God face to face.”

It is said that soon after his enlightenment, the Buddha passed a man on the road who was struck by the Buddha's extraordinary radiance and peaceful presence. The man stopped and asked,
         “My friend, what are you?”
“Are you a celestial being or a god?”
         “No,” said the Buddha
“Well, then, are you some kind of magician or wizard?”
         Again the Buddha answered, “No.”
         “Are you a man?”
         “No.”
“Well, my friend, then what are you?”
The Buddha replied, “I am awake.”

The Winners
In a vision of the overcomers, behold I saw as follows: Those who win the battle in life are not those who fight the Devil. Such people do not get to the end of the race. I saw them cast off the Devil, which appeared in the form of a refuse dump, and yet the Devil remained. I saw them cross the road, but they did not get to the end.
Those who win the race are those people who seek self-knowledge, who thereby defeat the self. I saw that they successfully crossed the road and they became free and victorious.

Signs Of Spiritual Depravity Of Mankind
The following are evidences that show that people are not following the right paths of life, despite the numerous churches and religions:
  1. The widespread fashion of wearing black as the best colour. Black means darkness, which also means death, ignorance, secrecy, hell, etc. Jesus explained this several times, saying, By Their Fruits you shall know them.” And by their works you hall confirm them. Birds of the same feather flock together. Like attracts like. A good tree is known by its good fruit. In the same vein, a bad tree is known by its bad fruit. You hardly see or read in the scriptures (sacred texts) of Saints or Angels wearing black. It is even disappointing that today many reverends dress in black. In life, everything behaves according to its nature, and this very fact it cannot cover up.
  2. Preponderance (Prevalence) of the word ‘mystery’. Observe how the churches and their leaders are always talking of ‘Mystery, Mystery, Mystery.’ When they suppose to be talking of ‘Knowledge, Truth and Light’.
  3. Observe how the world celebrates death with pomp and pageantry, when they should stay away from death. Jesus warned against it saying, “Leave the dead to bury their dead.” – leave those people who are spiritually dead to continue in their foolishness.
  4. The churches and religions suppose to lead people to the knowledge of Truth.

Instead of doing that, the churches and religions hold people captives, and prevent them fromfinding the Truth. They convince the masses that their church or religion is the best and final stage.

13 "But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees (religious leaders), hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. 14 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees (religious leaders), hypocrites! ...

15 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.
    Matthew 23:13-15

Search the scriptures, and you will find out that the saviours of the world do not talk or teach about church or religion. They are always hammering on the need to seek, find and know the Truth, which begins with self-knowledge or self-realization. The priority has been turned upside down, and has to be reset. Even John the Baptist called attention to this fact.

"The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
(A saint in the midst of lost world.)

    'Prepare the way of the LORD;
    (teach people the Truth.)
    Make His paths straight
    (correct wrong teachings).
5 Every valley shall be filled
(remove man-made doctrines, which lead people to death.)
And every mountain and hill brought low
    (misleading churches and religions shall collapse.);
The crooked places shall be made straight
(correct misleading setups, customs and traditions)
    And the rough ways smooth
(remove penance and sufferings, and restore peace, love, mercy and generousi
    ty)
    ;
6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God
(God will delight to be in your midst).'" Luke 3:4-6

  5. Today, I advise you to seek, find and know the Truth. Indeed, you wll be amazed when you know the Truth. And reading one holy book is not enough.

  6. Widespread hypocrisy called politics, diplomacy, family politics, cold war, etc.
  7. Haggling, which is often unnecessary, and is hypocrisy in practice.
  8. Religious antagonism. Observe how the religions are busy condemning and plotting against one another, whereas they suppose to appreciate and love one another. Church and religious politics, they call it.
  9. The unnecessary use of violence and threat in settling issues.
  10. Widespread wearing of indecent dresses.
  11. Corruption.
  12. Noisy environments, including noisy vibrations, booming sounds and bombarding music in public places like markets, streets, etc.
  13. There is no spiritual growth and experience. Majority do not experience God, bliss or heaven.
  14. Spirit beings are often regarded as enemies or evil spirit. What a misconception.
  15. A very high level of ego (self). Observe how everybody builds up self-esteem. The very thing Jesus said we should discard.
  16. Selfishness - Many are being misguided by immediate benefit. Any call for assistance is tactfully avoided.
  17. High level of gossiping and backbiting.
  18. Etc
